Brent Wood

With 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, Brent began his career in financial operations at a startup RIA in 2018. He started as a team member, and his roles and responsibilities grew as he progressed to become the Director of Investment Operations. During his time with the firm, Brent helped build out their systems and processes, onboarded new advisory teams and clients, and oversaw training for new teams and continuing education for existing staff.

Brent joined the Opus team in early 2023. He brings with him a wealth of experience in client relations and investment operations. With honesty and integrity as his primary values, Brent is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and doing things the right way. He believes there are no shortcuts to success.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Brent graduated from the University of Georgia. After college, he moved to Charleston, SC, where he currently resides with his wife and two children. When he’s not in the office, Brent enjoys spending time with his family and teaching Irish step dancing. He often travels throughout the US, as well as to Ireland and England, for competitions.
