“I believe that everything starts with integrity, trust and understanding; these uncompromising principles are the foundation of what we do.”
As the founder of Opus Wealth Management, I am passionate about helping clients simplify complex financial lives and get on track to achieving their goals. I am fortunate to work with a team of professionals dedicated to serving our clients utilizing one simple, yet powerful golden rule:
We provide advice to our clients in the same way we would provide advice to ourselves or our family members. If we would not do it ourselves or recommend it to our mothers, we don’t recommend it to you!
We’re also different because we invest our own money alongside our clients. We believe it’s important to have “skin in the game” so we can sit on the same side of the table as you. In a world where you can’t always trust what you hear, we want you to get something different when you work with Opus.
I have spent the last 20 years developing a team and processes to bring you clear answers to the following questions:
- How do I retire? When? What’s realistic and what do I do if there’s a stock market crash?
- What process can I follow to get a fair return on my investments?
- How do I leave what I have to my children in a protected and financially responsible fashion?
- Am I exposing myself to a financial disaster? What are my blind spots?
- How do I exit my business with a smooth transition plan into my next life phase?
This client-centered approach helps ensure you will always have the resources you need to help you on your way to achieving your goals.
Early in my career, I realized that this was a knowledge business, so I chose to invest in my professional training. I got my M.B.A. from S.M.U., earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification and the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
On the personal side, I’m married to a wonderful woman named Carey. She’s a family doctor who works for Baylor Scott & White. In my free time, I like to read. I’m a bit of a value investing nerd and love to read anything from Warren Buffett, Ben Graham, Charlie Munger, Seth Klarman, Howard Marks, and Jeremy Grantham just to name a few. I consider these gentlemen “intellectual lighthouses” amidst the real world fog.
I feel incredibly lucky to do work I love, every day. I also get to work for great people, most of whom have become my friends.
